I believe we all have the right and ability to enjoy and learn about music. I am 100% dedicated to the learners who want to improve their musical knowledge through piano and mallet percussion. After being an educator for over 30 years (in schools and private studios) I have learned multiple ways on how to inspire, motivate, coach the individual learner!
Many piano learners are taking advantage of the basic piano accompaniment videos I have created as well as many easy piano rhythm patterns.

James Johnson’s Grass Roots YouTube channel was a savior for me when I was a beginner and continues as I’ve progressed to an intermediate level. Other channels’ “beginner” or “easy” level music arrangements were way beyond that level. I couldn’t play them. James’ arrangements were the first I could tackle. I learned Minuet in G, the theme to Jurassic Park, and Silent Night with great success. This gave me the confidence to record these little pieces and post them in James’ encouraging and supportive Facebook group. This site (FB adults learning piano group) is amazing place for anyone learning the piano. People are positive and encouraging which helps so much to build confidence. Mr. Johnson has a lot of experience and helps guide us in the right way and always reminds us to trust ourselves and play from the heart as well as to play with passion. There should be no other way to play . It’s a very safe place to be and turn to. Questions and participation are encouraged and people are very kind.
